Quarterly ABA Meeting – 13th September 2022
The quarterly ABA meeting was held today (13th September 2022). All members attended along with David Goss from UKMHA and David Gostick from the Health & Safety Executive (HSE).

Annual ABA Summit 2021
The Accrediting Bodies Association for Workplace Transport (ABA) held its Annual Summit on Wednesday 20th October 2021. This year’s Summit saw the ABA welcoming its newly appointed chairperson, reviewing industry objectives, introducing its newest member, launching a new and improved website, releasing new testing standards, and proposing equipment category changes.

ABA announces Jason Dickson as new chairperson
The Accrediting Bodies Association for Workplace Transport (ABA) has announced Jason Dickson as its new chairperson, effective of 7th September 2021.

New ABA Code of Practice
Details of banned and suspended training providers will be shared between members of the Accrediting Bodies Association for Workplace Transport (ABA) in a bid to maintain testing standards.

Logistics UK appointed as ABA auditors
All members of the ABA (AITT, ITSSAR, NPORS and RTITB) have unanimously agreed for the Logistics UK (Formally know as Freight Transport Association) to be appointed as auditors of the ABA as of January 1st 2021, for a period of at least 3 years.

ABA Statement – COVID-19
Due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19, the ABA would like to advise training organizations and instructors to speak with their relevant accrediting body and visit the government website for the latest advice and guidance on conducting workplace transport training.

The ABA be will hosting its latest “testing standards” workshop for the following categories

New ABA Chairman
The Accrediting Bodies Association for Workplace Transport (ABA) has announced Adam Smith as Chairman, effective from 24th January 2019.

FTA Newly Appointed Auditors
Members of the ABA have unanimously agreed for the Freight Transport Association to be appointed as auditors of the ABA as of September 2018.

Next ABA Meeting: 28th September 2017
The next meeting of the ABA will be taking place on 28th September 2017. This meeting will begin proceedings for standardising the A and Z ABA categories and further information on the development of these categories will be released in due course.

New ABA Chairman Appointed
The Accrediting Bodies Association for Workplace Transport (ABA) has announced Nick Welch as Chairman, effective from 1st January 2017.

‘Out of the Norm’ Trucks
The Accrediting Bodies Association for Workplace Transport (ABA) has received a number of enquiries about instructing on trucks that are slightly out of the norm and the required instructor operator qualifications, for example, a vehicle mounted telescopic truck.
